ICP Students and Prayer

Isra Mi’raj is a journey reflection. There lays a command from Allah to pray 5 times a day. Shalat (prayer) is a relationship between human and Allah. Prayers are often written in the Qur’an. It tells us how important the position of prayer is in our life. Even, the word prayer is usually associated with the earlier prophets. For example, the prayer of Prophet Ibrahim a.s whose story is written in the Al-Qur’an, the attitude of the prophet Ismail a.s. who ordered his family to pray so that Allah will be pleased with him; and when Allah ordered the Prophet Musa (peace be upon him) to establish prayers, Allah says in Q.S Al Baqarah:45 “And ask for help (to Allah) patiently and pray. And (prayer) is really heavy, except for those who are devout”.

ICP (International Class Program) is a program belongs to Utsman School which is applied Cambridge Curriculum. One of Utsman School Quality Assurances is prayer. The students of ICP are educated and trained to conduct prayer at school, especially for dhuhur and ashar. It is not only the prayer’s movement but also the recitation. Utsman School also builds students’ awareness to pray with such program that school made and monitored by parents at home. Hopefully, Utsman School and parents are able to generate Rabbani generations who are having responsibility to conduct prayer with full of understanding. Aamiin allahumma aamiin.
